Chianti: Riserva Ducale Oro by Ruffino

Well, I like Italian wine, specially chianti and toscana, and since my favorite wine, Villa Antinori, is out of stock, I got a new one, by recommendation of seller. The new one is chianti Riserva Ducale Oro, from Ruffino, 2000. Actually I remember I started with Italian wines from Ruffino, can't really remember which one, but I remember it had a good taste and pleasant aroma. I have to say, they didn't disappointed me this time either. The wine is very light while you drink it, it does have a nice perfume - very gentle and at the...

The Settlers - Rise of an Empire

Been playing this game lately and enjoyed. If you like not-so-hardcore strategy games, this one is for you. Easy enough to start with and gets harder to the end game. Technorati Tags: The Settlers, Games, PC Games

You further agree that ICQ Inc. is entitled to use at its own discretion any of the...

Vertu cell phones - WTF??

Take a look at this picture. Those are not cell phones from 90x of 20th century, no, no.. Those are elite, luxury phones presented by Virtu: Now those phones cost tens thousands of green dollars. Why? No idea. Maybe they have nice set of features? Nope. So why? Look at the screenshot of small part of their site: This locker took 2 years to design? C'mon! What you were designing there? Now definitely I know why this costs so much and why phone features are soooo low-tech. del.icio.us Tags: Vertu, Mobile

WPF: Adding text as a background of TextBox or ComboBox

One of those small things I liked in Vista is help text in the background of various text boxes, such as Search in Explorer: When you click on it, the text disappears, leave it without typing anything, you again see the text. In many places this might be a useful thing - it helps user to determine what should be written inside and there is no additional place needed to put the label. So I wanted to figure out how to do this in pure XAML without any additional code. It turned out this was pretty...

LINQ to Entities and SQL Compact Edition

If you want to use LINQ to Entities (AKA ADO.NET Entity Framework) with your SQL CE database, download and install SQL CE SP1 Beta (see link below). Uninstall SQL Compact Edition 3.5 that you have right now, but leave Design Tools. And then install those 2 files downloaded from MS Downloads Center.
